Encode Arabic

Encoding the Arabic language in the ArabTeX transliteration, a non-trivial and multi-purpose notation for Arabic orthographies and phonetic transcriptions, brings improved possibilities for natural language processing systems.

Relying on the advanced techniques of functional parsing in Haskell, we present an implementation of an interpreter for this notation. The developed programming library will be published shortly, complementing the current Encode Arabic implementation in Perl.
